Wing 10303W Customer Review(s):
Summary: 5 Stars All Around Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: I own a window cleaning company and this is my 2nd Model 22. There is considerable structural difference in the Type 1A/1. The Type 1 is still a very good ladder for all household work. Understand all ladders have a characteristic flex and feel. Use them correctly. My crews felt very comfortable working with the Type1. I shipped the saver method and had it here in 3 days. Great price and great ladder. Summary: Love at first rung Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: I'd previously purchased one of the Werner convertible ladders through my local home improvement megastore, but found that ladder bulky and heavy and hard to use, and took it back within the week. I'd read about Little Giants here on Amazon, but the price was daunting.
Two years later, after the acquisition of a new house with a 17' cathedral ceiling in the living room, I finally broke down and bought this ladder. It's like night and day from that Werner ladder. The operation is simple as could be - slap a big button on each hinge and the ladder folds, unfolds, or moves to lock closed. Pull one big friendly hook out on each side of one end, and extend, then put the hook into the hole at the end of a new rung. I got the ladder grip things that Amazon recommends with the ladder, and they help it feel a bit more secure in extension mode, but it's pretty darn good all on its own. The ladder is a little heavy (as a woman) at just under 40 pounds, but not oppressively so, and it's easy to carry due to good design. The included work platform took me a while to figure out (photos here on Amazon helped), but it's very sturdy and easy to use.
Already I've used the ladder in all sorts of configurations, and it's wonderful. I'm just sorry I didn't make the room in the budget to buy this two years ago! .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: Overpriced, overhyped, underbuilt, and RIPPED OFF! Rating: 3 (out of 5) Comment: First off, make sure you CONFIRM with Amazon that it does come with a work platform. They shipped mine without and then said the web info was wrong. I went nuclear and they finally refunded 20 bucks on what is a 40 dollar accessory. I felt ripped off. Now for the ladder. It is the Class 1 250 pound ladder, not the 300 they push on TV. DON'T BUY THE CALSS 1 unless you 1.) weigh less than 175, and 2.) don't need to go above 12-14 feet or so. Then it seems sturdy. Above those limits it flexes and feels like it will snap. Other than that, it is a well built and neatly engineered unit that is too much money for the strength that you get. I wish I had bought the 300 lb. version and that Amazon hadn't defrauded me on the platform. Then I'd probably be happy. .........................................................................................................................................................................
