Kreg Customer Review(s):
Summary: A great way to do pre assembly Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: Have you ever had the experience of putting something together (using glue and nails) and then discovering that either you made a mistake or wish you had done it differently? With the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig this problem could be a thing of the past. Most of the wood working projects I do are first time events for me and being able to pre assemble to see if the results are what I expected is impossible with the nail and glue method. Make a mistake and tear it apart and in most cases you wind up destroying most of what you were working on and have to start over again. Not so with the Keg Pocket Hole Jig. I assemble my parts first using just the washer head screws, once I am satisfied with results I dis-assemble, apply the glue and then lock everything together with the screws for virtually indestructible joints.
This feature alone makes an investment in the Keg tool worthwhile but like they say in the TV commercials, 'Wait there's more'. The Kreg K2000 ProPack which I purchased is extremely versatile allowing you to make an incredible assortment of joints. The instruction manual is thorough and easy to understand. Part of the manual is used to illustrate the different joints and how to fasten them together. Kreg's web site also has even more information to help get the most use out of the tool.
The overall quality of the tool is first class. I bought my first Kreg Pocket Hole Jig about 10 years ago at a wood working show and only used it occasionally. The difference between the newer and older versions is like the difference between a Model T and a Ford Taurus; sure they'll both get you where you want to go, but the newer version does it with a lot less effort.
My only regret in purchasing the ProPack is that since seeing the features on the newest version of the pocket jig, that was supposed to be available sometime in July, I now wish that I had waited. But then again since I have found myself using the ProPack K2000 more and more as I discover it's versatility I just might fit the newer version into my budget.

Summary: K2000 ProPack Pocket Hole Jig Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: One of the best 'assistants' I have in my shop - should have bought ProPack years ago. Summary: Did the job and more Rating: 4 (out of 5) Comment: I bought this jig to fix some broken ballusters on my front porch. I had never seen or used the jig or anything like it before, but knew if it worked as advertised, it would solve my problem. After five minutes reading the instructions, I figured out how to get the 'pocket rocket' jig to work. Its very easy, but the clamp they included in the set is of limited use. Haven't tried the rest of the jigs out yet, but when a use arises, I will update. .........................................................................................................................................................................
