The wide 15-inch cleaning path sucks up a large quantity of debris, saving energy in multiple passes over the same area, and a front headlight illuminates darker areas, such as the backs of closets or under couches. Allergy sufferers are taken care of as a built-in filtration system removes 100 percent of dust mites and 99.98 percent of ragweed and grass pollens. Rather than using replaceable bags that can be messy to dispose of, the vacuum contains dirt in a covered plastic cup that is a cinch to empty. On-board tools for this vacuum include two extension wands for overhead cleaning, a crevice tool, a furniture nozzle, and a dusting brush. Comment: I had purchased a Dirt Devil and was extremely satisfied, but moved and now had thick pile rugs that could not be cleaned well. Who on earth now sells a reasonabley priced and yet efficient product today that will not break in two days? I searched and searched and found Hoover, an older company that had survived, wow, I thought I remember that name from when I was a kid. Yes, along time ago, let's just say about 50 years. The price was right as I only have 3 rugs to clean and I used it and it worked better than expected. I can now look forward to living in a house where I am not continually sneezing due to the special filter and still have money left over. At least almost enough to fill my gas tank LOL

Comment: I was horrified by how much this vacuum was able to suck off my carpet and furniture. I had not idea how much dust could accumulate. I like the bagless feature as well, since I do not have to spend any more money on the vacuum after the original purchase. No wonder consumer reports rated this model highly. And amazon had the best price I could find, especially with free shipping.

Comment: When I purchased this vacuum I was hoping that I could purchase a decent vacuum at a reasonable price. In the past, I had purchased a cheap vaccum (Dirt Devil) and was pretty happy with it. I didn't think that I needed to spend much to get a decent one.
I was wrong. I hate this vacuum so much. The bagless compartment is clumsy and difficult to use without spilling dirt all over or inhaling a lungfull of dust. The suction is quite weak. It's ridiculously loud. The attachment arm is poorly designed; you have to attach and detach a piece to use it, oh and remember to close the little trap lid or the suction will be even worse than usual. I miss my cheap old bag vacuum. Steer clear of this one.
