Comment: This step stool is so great that we have 2 at my mom's house. I'm going to get one as soon as I have my own kitchen. They're really durable, both of the ones we have lasted at least 20 years, one might be closer to 40. They're nice to sit in and tall enough that I can reach the top shelves in the kitchen (I'm only 4'11')

Comment: I bought this for my 80 year-old mother, so she could sit while she does kitchen chores. The stool is light-weight enouch for her to move and provides a comfortable seat. There are two drawbacks: the step part of the stool doesn't come out quite far enough, giving the feeling od instability. Also, I assumed the entire unit folded for storage, but this is not the case. Only the steps fold in. Both of the above are minor drawbacks and I would recomend this item to anyone.
