Comment: I bought this vacuum cleaner based on all of the good reports Bissell has received on their products. Note, Consumer Reports was not favorable towards the Bissells, so I was a little apprehensive. I was quite surprised at the engineering and quality of this product. Not only does it vacuum really well, it is also well designed. It deep cleans the carpet and fluffs it up nicely. The dirt cup fills up rapidly on a dirty carpet and you know you are getting the dirt out. There is an extra step on a bag less cleaner compared to a bag type cleaner. You have to dump the dirt cup and clean two of the filters. This is not hard do, it just a step that needs to be done after one or two cleanings, at least on my carpets. This is the nature of any bag less system. What I do like is the fact that you are not vacuuming air through the accumulated dirt as in a bag style cleaner. We have a house dog and our vacuum always had a doggie smell. Not so with the bag less cleaner.
After vacuuming, I take an empty Walmart bag, go outside and with the cup in the bag, dump the contents. It is quick and easy, however the two filter need cleaning and usually the plastic parts will need to be washed after a several uses.
The vacuum is quiet enough, sturdy and well finished. The quick disconnect parts are really easy to dismantle and well designed. The vacuum is light enough, much lighter than many of the other cleaners I looked at.
Overall, I am well pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Comment: I really really like this vacuum. It sucks everything up, the machine itself is easy to clean and maintain, it's not too loud, it's relatively light, and it does not burn out belts like my old one.
I especially like that the hose is always attached and has a handle so I can do the baseboards as I go along doing the floors - you don't have to stop, install the hose and then go back - you just pull it out as you go and set it onto the back of the machine when it's time to move on. I also really really love the turbo brush for the hose. It's great on the stairs. I filled it with hairs and such to the point of stopping the spin, but it was easy to unscrew and clean out the brush.
I bought this one partly because of all the great reviews on Amazon and other retail sites and I've been totally satisfied and I'm glad to add my voice to the raves. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because i have not had it long enough to see how reliable it is.

Comment: I used this vacuum like crazy for a couple of days. It did a really good job. However, about the 3rd time I used it, the power head tool froze up and quit working. Also, the dial that adjusts for the carpet height broke the first time we tried adjusting it to vacuum a bare floor. I am sending it back for a replacement. Hopefully we just got a bad one. I am going to try again because the vacuum itself worked great. It is quick and easy to empty, has powerful suction, and the power head did a great job on the furniture and curtains.
