Sharp's LC-13S1UB 13-inch LCD TV is a sleek, compact, high-performance flat-panel television from the AQUOS line of liquid crystal displays. The display uses Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/black TFT panel to give you extra brightness, a 500:1 contrast ratio, and superior 170-degree viewing angles, which means you can position the television anywhere--even near light sources--and still get clear, bright picture. The built-in tuner lets you plug your cable line directly into the television to watch up to 181 channels out of the box. The LC-13S1UB comes with an easel-style stand for the tabletop, or the stand can be removed and the set can be wall-mounted using most of Sharp's mounting brackets (not included). The two built-in speakers are positioned below the screen rather than on the side, which makes the television narrower than typical LCD TVs of the same size. The speakers each supply 2.1 watts of power, for a total power output of 4.2 watts. Also included is a full-function remote control (2 AAA batteries included). You get two composite-video inputs for convenient hookup to your favorite gaming console or camcorder. There are also two rear S-video inputs and one component-video input. The television is EDTV-capable, so it is compatible with progressive-scan DVD players. What's in the Box LC-13S1UB 13-inch flat-panel LCD TV, remote control, 2 AAA batteries, user's manual, and warranty information.

Sharp LC-13S1UB Customer Review(s):
Summary: Nice Product Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: I am very happy with the TV. We bought it for a mobile location in a boat. Mounted it in the v-berth on an Omni-mount. Swing it out into the open when you need it and back up against the wall and its out of the way. The detachable power supply converts 110 to 12 volt, so no problem adapting it to run directly from the 12 volt system. Others have complained about the power supply brick. I would rather have the componets in two boxes, rather than all the weight in one. On the boat, we don't use the power supply anyway. Size and weight of the TV are perfect for this appliction. One small complaint is the volume level from the small speakers. We often have it turned up to about 75%. Not a major detraction though. .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: WOW !!! Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: This tv has an excellent picture. Sharp with deep colors. From some reviews i read before buying this one, i was expecting a huge and encombersome power supply. The power supply measures exactly 5 1/4'x 2 1/2'x 1 1/2' thick. Seems very reasonable to me. I bought this tv for the van and it works directly off the van's 12v cigarette lighter plug. {The 12v power cords are easily obtainable in truck stops}. When we turned that tv on the first time, my wife and i both said wow. I give it five stars. .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: Great counter TV Rating: 4 (out of 5) Comment: I am very pleased with this TV. THe size is perfect for the kitchen. Great picture. (Except if you sit to the side of the TV, you don't see the vibrate colors) But as long as you stand or sit right infront of the TV - it is great. That is the reason I give it a 4, it would be nice if when sitting off to the side of the TV the colors would hold true. But not a big deal. I'm just needing it to keep up with news. And the power supply box is NOT that big and no big deal. I set my TV up in the corner of my kitchen counter and the box sits behind it and no one can see it or knows it is there. I love all the bells and whistles of the settings. When I put it on mute, the closed caption comes on and I LOVE THAT feature. .........................................................................................................................................................................
