Digital television has either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. A 16:9 aspect ratio is widescreen and appears rectangular, which looks more like a movie screen, filling more of the viewer's field of vision for a more lifelike viewing experience. Olevia LT27HV 27' Customer Review(s):
Summary: I love it! Rating: 5 (out of 5) Comment: This is the best device I have bought for at least a couple decades. I am a degreed engineer, and I love gadgets. Just the best. I highly recommend it. .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: Sounds like a crapshoot LT27HV Rating: 3 (out of 5) Comment: I have taken the time to read almost 100 of these reviews good and bad, and some people get the lemons, some don't, and some may not even know they got a lemon.
Although I did not get my Syntax LCD tv from Amazon, I have purchased other things like pots and pans. From reading over 100 reviews, those are the best Amazon purchases.
My Radio Shack purchase was disappointing when, like many of these reviews, the one dead pixel showed up in the middle of the screen. RS representatives noted that all LCDS have dead pixels. I won't say what I think about that. Being smart to avoid a bipolar extravaganza on he RS showroom floor, they agreed to exchange the tv. The second tv's screen arrived flawless. I went to Amazon to read reviews before I called my cable company in regard to 3- to 8-second blackouts occurring requently, and I realize now that it is the tv, and it is very, very, very annoying. Did I say that it is annoying? In the middle of programming, going to commercials, MUSIC VIDEOS.
I give the product 3 stars because my meds help make the blackouts tolerable, picture quality is fine (in between blackouts), it works great with my pc, and sounds excellent hooked up to my own speakers (manufacturers speakers are on the porch). .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: Falsely Advertised to Have High Definition Resolution Rating: 1 (out of 5) Comment: I was duped into buying this tv by the clearly false claim on the Amazon product description that it is 'HDTV Ready'. After plugging it in, I was surprised by the lack of resolution, and after investigating, realized that HDTV is defined as having a resolution 720p and above. This tv only supports a resolution of 480p, the same as an analog set. .........................................................................................................................................................................
