As data stored on the server and the unit contains no local drives or moving parts, thin clients offer increased manageability, security, control and reliability. The t5700 Thin Client features the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded operating system for customers requiring expanded hardware and application support. It also includes the remote management Altiris Deployment Solution, a comprehensive standards- and Web-based solution for deploying, managing and updating all networked clients--both PCs and thin clients. Four USB ports, a serial port and parallel port provide for a broad selection of option support including: wireless networking, storage, security, and connectivity. External storage options include: disk-on-key, CD-ROM drive, diskette drive and hard drive.
