The A7217A from HP is a large, 24-inch (22.5-inch viewable image size) CRT monitor with flexible display settings and an accurate onscreen image. The 90-degree deflection FD Trinitron tube is capable of displaying 16:10, 5:4, and 4:3 aspect ratios, making the A7217A suitable for a wide range of professional and home applications. With a 2,048 x 1,536 maximum resolution (4:3; 1,920 x 1,200 at 85 Hz recommended) and 0.23 to 0.27 mm dot pitch, images are crisp and true-to-life. Onscreen menus allow you to adjust a wide variety of monitor settings, including brightness, contrast, H/V size, H/V position, parallelogram, trapezoid, zoom, color temperature, image restore, moiré, convergence, language, and more. A -5 to +15-degree and 165-degree swivel allow you to position the monitor to best suit your viewing environment. Plug-and-play compatibility makes setup a snap. The A7217A supports analog RGB input signals via its 15-pin mini D-sub and BNC ports. A one-upstream, four-downstream USB hub allows you to attach peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard, printer, or scanner. A hefty unit, the monitor weights just under 93 pounds and has a 22.5-by-20.625-inch footprint. The 100 to 240-volt 50/60 Hz power supply consumes about 160 watts during normal operation.
