CASE LOGIC Customer Review(s):
Summary: Case is among strongest I've come across Rating: 4 (out of 5) Comment: Although I have YET to understand why manufacturers don't offer two types of sleeves: one for CDs alone, and one (with a bit more wiggle room) for CDs and the jackets. The 16 slots in the front of each case is really handy for those recently played CDs or new ones you don't quite want to put away yet. I have three of these filled to capacity, and the zipper works very easily each time- no struggling to zip it closed. Also, handles are ACTUAL handles, not the type that rip off when you try to use them. .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: Good, but only for a little while. Rating: 2 (out of 5) Comment: Ok. This is an ok case-at least for a year or so. I have had to replace this case numerous times in the past 5 years (at least 3). Similar things have broken each time: the metal zipper is not very durable and has completely broken off; the material which goes around the ends of the handle that attach to the case itself are thin and not very strong and have torn off at least 2-3 times; and finally the mega-annoying flaw is that after a while, the sleeves will rip out out of the book, especially the front ones. Keep in mind that I have the 250+ case and have it nearly filled up. I dont give it more abuse than what anyone else would, i just use mine for a LONG time. I tried to keep these things from happening by always zipping up the case before carrying it around, in the hopes that maybe there will be less stress on the zipper, and the sleeves wont flap around as much, causing less stress on them as well. It seemed to work for a while until the front 2 sleeves ripped out. Instead of buying a new case, i did the hobo method and used duct tape to reattach the joints. Also, realize i dont keep any cds in the first sleeve to prevent this (doesnt seem to work well does it?). Now tonight i noticed the joints around the handle starting to rip again. This really agitates me. I think case logic used to be a better company, but now their stuff is really flakey. When i first started buying these cases, they were 'having defects' much more often. As such my first 2-3 replacements occured a few months apart. The last one that i bought was over 1.5 years ago. They dont seem to have changed much either. I did try buying the nylon one but it made no difference and in fact was less durable. Anyway, you may have a different experience but all the ones that i have owned have all broken causing me to have to move 200+ cds around-not fun. either way, make your own judgements because you will anyway, no matter what i say. .........................................................................................................................................................................
Summary: BE WARNED !!!!!!!!!!! Rating: 1 (out of 5) Comment: I JUST DECIDED TO MINIMIZE MY CD BULK BECAUSE I WAS MOVING. SO I GOT THE 208 COUNT CASE LOGIC CD BOOK. I GOT RID OF ALOT OF MY CD BOOKLETS BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T FIT IN THE SLEEVES WITH A CD. LITTLE DID I KNOW IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR BOOKLETS THEN THIS IS A 104 CD HOLDER. I ALSO DICOVERED THAT CDS STORED IN THE LOWER SLEEVES GET REALLY SCRATCHED BY A LITTLE PLASTIC EDGE WHEN SLIDING OUT OR ON THEIR WAY IN. I GUESS THIS CASE WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE HAD I PUT A CD IN THE TOP SLEEVE AND THE BOOKLET IN THE BOTTOM. BUT I WARN YOU NOT TO STORE CDS IN THE LOWER SLEEVES. .........................................................................................................................................................................
